In 1971, Colt “reissued” the 1851 Navy, continuing the serial numbers from where it left off in 1873. This one is a Robert E. Lee Commemorative. The Navy was popular because of its excellent balance and accuracy. It stayed in production right up until the Peacemaker was introduced in 1873.
